Hrafnagil was, in ancient times, a chieftain’s estate and the site of a church. In present times, however, a small community has sprung up which serves as a service centre for tourists. Hrafnagil is also home to the Eyjafjörður Christmas Garden and Íslandsbærinn (the Iceland Farm) community centre.
