Hotel Tindastóll
We welcome you to the oldest hotel in Iceland (hotel since 1884). Hotel Tindastóll is a 3 star hotel with an old romantic style. Here we have 10 well equipped rooms; eight double standard rooms and two deluxe rooms in the old main building and 10 modern style rooms in the annex, all with private facilities, TV and free Wi Fi. In the garden area of the hotel, we have a hot tub made of piled stones from the shores of Skagafjörður. Here, our guests can relax after an exiting day in the beautiful North.
The hotel is well located in the center of the town, which offers an array of activities. Sauðárkrókur has three restaurants, a bakery, The Heritage House, The Tannery visitor center, History and birding tours to the island Drangey 98% chance of spotting puffins, an outdoor thermal bath, riding tours, bird watching area, a golf course, a health club, shops; all of which are within walking distance from the hotel. Excellent walking paths are along the beach or up to the mountains above Sauðárkrókur.
In the winter time, you can enjoy our nearby skiing area, which is only 15 km away from the town or you may prefer to take a romantic walk along the black sands of our beach. To satisfy your appetite, indulge in the delicious food and drink of our local restaurants
