Húsavík Adventures offers a unique experience for tourists travelling in Iceland. We offer Big Whales and Puffins and Midnight Sun Whale Watching (the latter tour is available from 1st of june to 31st July).

Húsavík is located in the northern part of Iceland on the eastern shore of Skjálfandi Bay. Húsavík is known as the Whale Capital of Iceland. Welcome to our ticket office at Hafnarstétt 11, Húsavík.

Tjörnes

Tjörnes is a stubby peninsula between Skjalfandi and Oxarfjord. Layers of fossil shells and lignite can be found on the coastal cliffs down from Ytri-Tunga farm on the western side of Tjornes. Colonies of puffins and other sea birds nest on the cliffs along the eastern coast.

Lake Botnsvatn has an area of 1,05 km². It is an oligotrophic lake situated approximately 130 meters above sea level, just southeast of Húsavík town.

The Þingeyjarsýsla District Museum

Byggðasafn S-Þing (The South Þingeyjarsýsla District Museum) is housed within the Safnahúsið at Húsavík and is to be found on the middle floor of the building. This exhibition is called "100 years of Life and Nature in Þingeyjarsýsla" and attempts to shed light on the interaction of man and nature. It is, therefore partly a natural history exhibition.

Summer: 1 June-31 August, daily 10:00-18:00.
Winter: 1 September-31 May, weekdays 10:00-16:00.
