The Crazy colors of Winter Photography

Through an Icelander's eyes - This winter, we want to show our followers how some of the best Icelandic photographers have viewed North Iceland in recent years. Guðmann and Gyða have been photographing Iceland for years and their work has been widely showcased both in Iceland and abroad. Their specialty is wildlife and landscape, and recently they have been inviting their followers on Youtube to "tag-along" with them on their ventures into nature. There you'll get a sense of the best methods to take splendid photos of Iceland, an insight into the life of the photographer, and also a little getaway from your daily routine at a period in our history where traveling abroad is not taken for granted. So sit back and enjoy Iceland from wherever you are in the world!

In this video, Guðmann goes out to a location he has always wanted to shoot in winter. The vivid colors of the sky promise some awesome photos, with blue, yellow, gold, and even pink blending together against the white snow.

Towns & Villages

Society and the economy have many faces. Whereas agriculture is the mainstay of rural areas, the towns depend upon fishing, industry, trade and a range of services, with each village having its own characteristics though they all prove hospitable hosts.
The availability of food and accommodation and the possibilities at every location for recreation and entertainment make hopping between the villages informative as well as fun.
In every case, the residents are lively and ready to celebrate.
