Skúlagarður, former boarding school and community-hall was built in the years 1953 to 1959.
Skúlagarður lies at the heart of Kelduhverfi on road 85, only 50 km from Húsavík and 140 km from Akureyri. Only a few km away is the northernmost part of Vatnajökull National Park with such wonders of nature as Ásbyrgi Canyon, Dettifoss Waterfall and Hljóðaklettar Rock Formations.
