Reykir Reykjastrond Guesthouse
Reykir is at the end of the road 748, Reykjastrandavegur in Skagafjörður. We have two natural hot pots, small café, guesthouse and camping. Kaffi Rauðka
Kaffi Rauðka is located in a brigt red house by the marina in Siglufjordur. It is an excellent place to meet the locals and breathe in the atmosphere of this nice little fishermen´s town. Kaffi Raudka opened in 2011 and is now open all year around. Warm home cooked meals are served during lunchtime during weekdays and visitors can also order from a diverse menu including everything from cakes and sandwiches to traditional Icelandic hashed fish or BBQ baby back ribs making it an excellent choice for the whole family. In Raudka´s outdoor area it is possible to play beach volleyball, mini golf and giant chess during summertime.  The north side of Kaffi Raudka is also used as a music hall and concerts are hosted there regularly.   Kaffi Raudka is one of Siglo Hotel´s three local restaurants. The other two restaurants are Hannes Boy and restaurant Sunna that is located within the hotel.
Böggvisstaðafjall Ski Area
Dalvík is only a 35 min. drive from Akureyri and has one of the best skiing areas in the country. There is a wide variety of runs suitable for all members of the family, one of the slopes being floodlit and 1,200m long.The area is equipped with a new snow production system which ensures better snow conditions. Vogafjos Farm Resort
Welcome to Vogafjós Farm Resort The resort is located on the east coast of lake Mývatn. It consists of a cosy family-owned guesthouse, a restaurant next to a cowshed and a small boutique with unique local products. The guesthouse is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by lava rocks and birch trees. It is the perfect location for northern lights scouting. In good conditions the lights can be seen easily from outside the rooms. All our rooms have a private bathroom and a wireless internet connection. The reception is located on the other side of the road, inside Vogafjós Restaurant.   Restaurant Vogafjós Restaurant is located beside our cowshed. We offer homemade local food such as smoked trout, lamb shanks, beef burgers, mozzarella and salad cheese made from our own milk and our homemade Geysir rye bread which is baked in our underground bakery. The Beer Spa
You lie in a bathtub for 25 mintues, filled with beer, water, hops and yeast. After that you go into a relaxation room for another 25 minutes. Beer yeast is used in various ways, the most common, is a tablet form where the effects of the yeast are very benefitting.  Beer bath, where you bathe in both young beer and live beer yeast, without showering it off until some hours later, has an extremely powerful effect on the body and skin. This treatment is both cleansing for the skin and has a very positive effect on health. The are seven tubs and we can accommodate up to 14 people every hour, as people can choose between going in the tub with another person or alone. There is no age limit for the bath itself, as the bathwater does not include alcahol. The draughts, that are on the side of eact tub, are only for those who have reached the age of 20 years. Children younger than 16 years have to be accompanied by an adult.  
Guesthouse Gullsól
Our guesthouse stands in the heart of Grimsey island. We are located just above the harbor with amazing views thereover. Our house is 3 stories high and the top two stories host the guesthouse while the bottom floor hosts our small handicraft store and café.   The guesthouse offers 6 rooms: 3 single bedrooms Two rooms with 120cm beds (For 1-2 people) One room with two single sized beds.   We also offer a toddler travel bed available for our guests free of charge.   Our bathroom is on the top floor and is shared by all guests. Free WIFI is included for all guests. We exclusively offer made up beds with high-quality sheets and two pillows for each guest. Each guest also gets a big towel and a washcloth to use during their stay. More offered for longer stays if requested.   We have a fully prepared kitchen which can be shared and used by all of our guests. The kitchen includes a fridge, stovetop, oven, microwave, coffee maker, sandwich maker, toaster, tea kettle and more appliances. Our kitchen table seats 8 people and furthermore next to the kitchen is the living room with a couch and two lounge chairs as well as a tv and a little bookcase.   On the first floor of the house through a separate entrance, we have a split space with both a little coffee house offering waffles with whipped cream, chocolate, and home-made jam as well as tea, coffee, and hot cocoa. The other side has a little handicraft store with Grímsey island made handcrafted things like wool sweaters, gloves, and hats. Birds Museum Sigurgeir
Sigurgeir´s Bird Museum was opened on the 17th of August 2008. The goal of the Museum is to educate the visitors about birds, the biota in Lake Mývatn, and how people in the area used the lake for transport and to survive. In the Museum you can find almost all of the Icelandic nesting birds, plus about 100 of the eggs, and in a seperate exhibiton, tools that were used to fish in Lake Mývatn. Opening hours: Closed due to Covid-19. If groups are traveling during other hours it is always possible to call us and check if we can open.
Fræðasetur um forystufé
The Leader Sheep Centre in Þistilfjörður North-Iceland is unique. It is impossible to find a similar museum as Iceland is the only country in the world where Leader Sheep exists. You find collections of pictures, stories, and information about the Leader Sheep. Besides information, we run a small shop with handmade goods produced from wool, horns, bones, and skins of the Leader Sheep. The Leader Sheep Center has received an award from the Farmers Association for use of wool, skins, and horns. "If you wear clothes made of wool of Leader Sheep then you always find your way.” We have a small Café where we serve a special blend of coffee and good cakes. One art exhibition is here every summer in our small gallery and is booked next consecutive 10 years. We run small and cozy guesthouse, THISTLE GUESTHOUSE, with 12 beds. There is a kitchen available and all the other needed facilities. Open from 11am to 6pm, July-Agust and by appointment in other months.
Frida Chocolate café
Frida lost her job at the bank in Siglufjordur in 2015. Her husband had the idea to open a café at her studio, which she opened in 2016 and produces chocolate and exhibits her art. All the chocolate is handmade on site and only fresh butter and cream go into the fillings and the chocolate is therefore at its best, fresh. Opening hours from June 1, 2020:Thursdays to Sundays 13:00-18:00 Open all year, except January and October.
The Icelandic Seal Center
The Icelandic Seal Center in Hvammstangi is a research and exhibition center investigating and detailing the lives of seals found in and around Iceland and also the Tourist Information Center for Húnaþing-vestra, Iceland's number one seal and wildlife watching destination.In the center you will learn about the different species of seals found along the shores of Iceland, their lives and habits and how to distinguish them apart from one another when you are out on a self or guided seal watching tour. You will also find information on the wildlife of the area, including the notorious Arctic Fox, Eider Duck, famous Puffins, Whales and the abundant sea and inland bird life of the area.You can watch our scientists at work in our lab, learn about the research that is being done on seals and even help us by collecting data on your travels around the area!Finally in our "Seal Cinema" you can watch a documentary on the seals found in Iceland and specifaclly in the area around The Icelandic Seal CenterFrom the Tourist Information Center you will be advised of the best ways and locations to see seals and other wildlife in their natural environment around the beautiful Vatnsnes peninsula and Húnaþing-vestra, as well as information on the other amazing sights, including the famous 15m giant troll Hvítserkur, turned to stone just meters from the coast, the beautiful Kólafossar waterfalls and canyon and Bjarg the birth and burial place of Grettir The Strong, strongest of all the vikings! You will also find details of all the hiking, riding and horse trails in the region and the plentiful accommodations where you can spend the night.

Áskaffi
The house Áshúsið was built in 1883-1886 at Ás farm in the Hegranes area, then moved to Glaumbær in 1991. Opening in Áshúsið in 1995, the café has become a natural part of any visit to Glaumbær and its exhibit of ´´Life on a Turf Farm´´. Should you be in the mood for something extra special drop in and try our traditional Icelandic delicacies such as our cream or sugared pancakes, traditional Icelandic donuts (kleinur) and a variety of other cakes, biscuits and home baked bread. The aroma of coffee and hot chocolate reminds us of those cosy days at Grandma´s. During lunch it is possible to order Icelandic skyr with cream and homemade bread. Soup can be ordered in advance of groups of ten or more. The Áskaffi opening hours are from 12 am to 6 pm daily from 1 June to 1 September and on weekends during winter. Áskaffi is 7 km from the crossroads at Varmahlíð of Highways 1 and 75. Glaumbær lies next to No. 75, which leads north to Sauðárkrókur. Access is easy by bus, since one runs between Sauðárkrókur and Varmahlíð every day, allowing for transfers to the daily coach between Reykjavík and Akureyri. We look forward to welcoming you!

All this and more to be found on our menu. Möðrudalur is the highest settled farm in Iceland, 469 meters ( 1.539 feet) above sea-level. It has been inhabited since early settlement in Iceland. Möðrudalur has served as a presbytery for centuries. The builder of the church in Modrudalur was Jón A. Stefánsson (1880 – 1971). He was a great farmer and a multitask-artist and the altarpiece is made by himself. His son was Stefan ,,Stórval“ Jónsson ( 1908 – 1994), one of a kind character and a painter. The panorama view from the farm is interesting in many ways – judge for yourself. Modrudalur/Fjalladyrd is a home base of the company Volcano Heli that offers different kind of adventurous tours from above: www.volcanoheli.is The campsite is open from June to mid-September. The camp site at Reykir is a large and open camp site with toilets, electricity, outdoor barbeque and a small playground.  There is also a guesthouse, a small coffee house and two natural hot springs to bathe in.  Next to the hot springs is an outdoor shower.  Thea area is nice for individuals as well as groups.

Brúnir Horse organises professional shows where the Icelandic horse is introduced in its natural environment and its history and unique qualities are brought to life with emphasis on the horse‘s multiple skills and diversity.
