Good Friday Martyr Justice Walk around Mývatn

Price description


The annual Good Friday Martyr Walk of Justice will start at Reykjahlíðarkirkja Church at 8:45am March 30, 2018. The walk starts at 9:00am. The walk is 36km long and you walk at your own pace. During your walk, you can also stop by at Skútustaðakirkja where the priest will be reading the Passion Hymns, a collection of 50 poetic texts written by the Icelandic minister and poet, Hallgrímur Pétursson.

Icelandair Hotel Mývatn will offer you a free warm drink at the start of the walk (9:00am). We also recommend their Happy Hour between 16-18 and their dinner menu as well! 

Hótel Laxá will offer free te/coffee and some refreshments during the walk. All drinks on Happy Hour for participants. Welcome to use their restroom as well.
