Karlsá Country Lodge
This 3-floor house, built in the late 1920's, is located only a few kilometers north of the small fishing town Dalvík in the Troll Peninsula. Through the decades it has been a country home and has now been renovated to retain the style and charm of the original structure.
Karlsá Lodge is ideal for big families, couples or friends who want to spend a few days relaxing or exploring the area. After a day of exploring, nothing beats relaxing in the outdoor sauna or soaking in the hot tub with the view of the mountains across the fjord.
The house has 7 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 15 people in made-up beds. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and seating areas. There is a small sauna house, and an outside hot tub on site. Guests rent the whole house.
With its amenities and prime location, Karlsá is the perfect location to base out of on your adventure in North Iceland.

Dalvík Beach
In the harbour of Dalvík, at its southern end, is a little wooden bridge over the rock dam and offers access to a beautiful black sandy beach that invites to take a walk until you reach the delta of the river Svarfaðardalsá. Take a rest in the dunes and observe the rich birdlife.

Trollaskagi
Tröllaskagi is a rugged peninsula, which lies between Skagafjordur and Eyjafjordur. It´s a maze of mountains, rivers and number of miniature glaciers. Ideal hiking country, maps available.

Hedinsfjordur
Héðinsfjörður is nearly 6 km long deserted northernmost fjord on the Tröllaskagi area. In the fjord is a good lake to catch fish, Héðinsfjarðarvatn, and the outlet from the Héðinsfjarðarós into the fjord. The next settlement to the west is the town Siglufjörður and to the east is Ólafsfjörður.
Into the fjord lays beautiful valley, 5-6 km long. There is a large trout water, 1.7 square miles in size, that splendor the valley, 3 meters above sea level. There is a water trout and large seafish in water, about 1-5 lbs. The fish walks in the late summer.
A lot of wildlife is in the lake. The story says that the fox, who has visited some hunters unafraid and sought for a small fish. This water is not practiced much, yet it has their fans who seek peace and good fishing. Fishing hut is at the northern end of the lake.
Enough entertainment is on Tröllaskagi and nearest area, whether it is winter or summer, for example; skiing, snowmobile, sea angling, golfing, soccer, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, museums and much more.

Ólafsfjörður Beach
Leave the village of Ólafsfjörður on its north end in direction "Kleifar" and you will reach the beautiful black sandy beach with invites to take a stop and walk the beach. Park your car carefully in a designated parking area or in the village and take a walk.
