Daytours with an English speaking Local Guide

What I enjoy most in life is to show my country to explorers that are interested in the nature, geology, history and the culture of Iceland.

My name is Kristinn Ingi Pétursson (a.k.a KIP) and I am a Certified Tour Guide, Tour Operator and a Driver Guide. I was born and raised on a farm near Lake Myvatn in North Iceland. I'm privileged to be able to spend my time outside in Icelandic nature with interesting people all days. I speak English and Icelandic and sometimes I also communicate with the elves and trolls of Iceland :-)

What I have to offer is professional and personal tailor made private tours in North Iceland, using my modified Super Jeep. I operate in North Iceland both in the winter and summer, guiding small groups of tourists, couples on honeymoons and professional photographers.
Please contact me for more information and tour booking.

Godafoss waterfall

The Goðafoss waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. The water of the river Skjálfandafljót falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters.

In the year 1000 the Lawspeaker Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland. After his conversion Þorgeir threw his statues of the Norse gods into the waterfall.

Towns & Villages

Society and the economy have many faces. Whereas agriculture is the mainstay of rural areas, the towns depend upon fishing, industry, trade and a range of services, with each village having its own characteristics though they all prove hospitable hosts.
The availability of food and accommodation and the possibilities at every location for recreation and entertainment make hopping between the villages informative as well as fun.
In every case, the residents are lively and ready to celebrate.
