Rub23 is an Icelandic restaurant that uses ingredients from Icelandic fishermen and farmers . Ingenuity from Asia and America. We specialize in seafood and have a wide variety of fish species and a wide selection of sushi dishes mixed with steaks and desserts. What makes the restaurant unique both in Iceland and internationally is the varied way in which the menu is put together, including homemade spice mixtures that customers can choose from, the so-called RUB. RUB has become a well known term for spice mixtures that are either put onto or rubbed into food, as the name indicates. The customer can first choose a particular ingredient, for example a special type of fish or meat and then choose from a list of spice mixtures those he wishes to try. Möðrudalur has served as a presbytery for centuries. The builder of the church in Möðrudalur was Jón A. Stefánsson (1880 - 1971). He was a great farmer as well as an artist and the altarpiece is made by himself. His son was Stefán ,,Stórval" Jónsson (1908 - 1994), a one of a kind character and a painter. The panorama view from the farm is interesting in many ways - judge for yourself. Baccalá bar is a restaurant in Hauganes on the west bank of Eyjafjordur bay, only 25 km from Akureyri and 12 km from Dalvík. Kerlingarfjöll are one of the natural pearls of Iceland, located in the highlands, between the Glaciers Hofsjökull and Langjökull. The area is accessible by road no. 35 (Kjölur road) from both north and south, from Kjölur road the access is via road F347.The Kerlingarfjöll area, being area of approx. 100 KM2 is a mountain cluster, rising 500 – 700 M above the surrounding central highlands plains. The mountains are standing on a large system of calderas, which was active some 70.000 – 300.000 years ago. The area can be described as a cluster of rugged mountains with steep hills and sharp lines, that due to their age have not been affected by the eroding forces of the nature. Within the mountain cluster there are geothermal areas that are amongst the larger in Iceland. Rhyolite and obsidian are types of rocks that characterize the appearance of some of the mountains, making the area extremely colourful and heaven for those who wish to hike or spend their time in landscape not frequently seen elsewhere.The Kerlingarfjöll highland resort, offering accommodation ranging from sleeping bag in dorms, to accommodation in double bed rooms with private facilities and shower. Hotel Natur is a family-run country hotel located at Þórisstaðir in Eyjafjordur in the northeast of Iceland. The concept behind the hotels is centred around environmentally friendly community policy emphasizing recycling, energy efficiency, and the use of local labour and resources. A barn, cowshed, and a large shed have been rebuilt and converted into hotel space. Even the old silo has found a new purpose as a sightseeing tower. We want to make sure that our guests have the best possible access to the natural surroundings via tracks leading down to the sea and up to the mountains. You lie in a bathtub for 25 mintues, filled with beer, water, hops and yeast. After that you go into a relaxation room for another 25 minutes. Beer yeast is used in various ways, the most common, is a tablet form where the effects of the yeast are very benefitting.  Beer bath, where you bathe in both young beer and live beer yeast, without showering it off until some hours later, has an extremely powerful effect on the body and skin. This treatment is both cleansing for the skin and has a very positive effect on health. The are seven tubs and we can accommodate up to 14 people every hour, as people can choose between going in the tub with another person or alone. There is no age limit for the bath itself, as the bathwater does not include alcahol. The draughts, that are on the side of eact tub, are only for those who have reached the age of 20 years. Children younger than 16 years have to be accompanied by an adult.  

Bakkaflöt is a family-owned company that started in 1987. We offer a variety of accommodations. Great experience for the whole family.  East glacial river, class 4. Extreme rafting:  East glacial river is by far one of the best 1-day rafting rivers in Europe. They are both trained tour guides and they have travelled widely in Iceland in connection with their work. They also run a travel agency specialising in photography tours. Brimslóð Atelier has until now been our home studio, where we have worked on many of our food related projects. From researching traditional food preparation and preserving techniques, to production of our own books and radio programmes, to workshops and lectures about Icelandic and Nordic food. Brimslóð has inspired us in many ways and we have built up a growing connection with the region. Foodworkshop - Nordic nature and nordic cuisine explored with Inga Elsa Bergþórsdóttir and Gísli Egill Hrafnsson. Inga and Gísli offer workshops of varying lengths to suit the different seasons, and tailor made to suit the size and composition of each group. They are always happy to respond to queries and new ideas for workshops.

Forest Lagoon is a 1.300 square-meter complex includes a bistro, two infinity pools with two swim-up bars, a cold tub, and a sauna.  The facility can accommodate up to 200 visitors at a time, and we will be open seven days a week from 10:00 in the mornings until 24:00 during the evenings. The spa's pools are heated up with all-natural geothermal water sourced from the mountain behind the Forest lagoon location, Vaðlaheiði. The water was discovered during a tunnel project and now has a greater purpose and a healing power.
