Admission free

What’s happening down by the harbour? Reports say that a trawler fishing just off the coast caught a huge unknown creature. Soon after, the engine gave out, the ship sent out a Mayday and was towed to the docks. While waiting for scientists to examine this strange beast, the public is given a unique opportunity to take a look. Have the sea monsters of our ancient tales come back and what message do they bring?

The Sea Monsters is a new large scale Icelandic street theatre, based on Icelandic folklore. The show is created by Hringleikur Circus Company and Pilkington Props and produced by MurMur Procutions. The Sea Monsters is a part of Reykjavík Arts Festival that also co-produces the show.

Admission is free for all and the show is mostly without words.

After the show Hringleikur will offer an open circus workshop where anyone curious about the circus arts can try out various circus art forms.
