The rich birdlife of North Iceland, distributed over widely varying habitats, displays a diversity seldom surpassed in Iceland and accessible areas for seeing species such as the Barrow’s Goldeneye, Harlequin Duck, Gyr Falcon, Rock Ptarmigan, the Great Northern Gannet, and the Guillemot. Kaldbaks-kot Cottages Husavik
Beautiful cottages with private facilities and fascinating view in Husavik (Myvatn) North Iceland, in the Whale watching Capital of Europe. Excellent location to explore the scenic "Diamond Ring Road": The Husavik-Dettifoss-Myvatn-Husavik round-trip journey. We offer the comfort of a motel-suite and the privacy of a cottage. We are located on the farmland of Kaldbakur within the Town of Husavik. A unique mixture of country comfort and urban convenience. The houses have one or two bedrooms with one double bed and two single beds (2 bedroom), a private WC with a shower. The living room has a kitchenette w/refrigerator, 2 stoves, water basin, coffee machine, toaster, microwave oven and hot and cold water. The houses have electricity, geothermal heating and a big terrace. Two of one bedroom houses have a sleeping loft, where up to 2 children/teenagers can sleep. We do our best to keep the indoor air in our cottages free of fragrance, mold, chemicals, smoking and VOCs so they can suit people who suffer from allergies, respiratory problems or chemical sensitivity. Enjoy the extra privacy provided by a cottage, over a regular hotel room. Many activities are within easy reach from our cottages, including golfing, bird watching and free fishing (30 meters to the lake). A swimming pool and natural warm bath are nearby. You can also visit Husavik's museums and restaurants or take a refreshing walk around the lakes or up to the hills. Birds Museum Sigurgeir
Sigurgeir´s Bird Museum was opened on the 17th of August 2008. The goal of the Museum is to educate the visitors about birds, the biota in Lake Mývatn, and how people in the area used the lake for transport and to survive. In the Museum you can find almost all of the Icelandic nesting birds, plus about 100 of the eggs, and in a seperate exhibiton, tools that were used to fish in Lake Mývatn. Opening hours:June 1-ug 31: 12:00-17:00 every daySept 1-May 31: 14:00-16:00 every day  If groups are traveling during other hours it is always possible to call us and check if we can open.

Strytan Divecenter is located in the small fishing village Hjalteyri 22. km north of Akureyri. GPS location N 65°51.055′– W 18°11.583′.   Dive with us at one of the wonder of the world the hydrothermal vents Strytan or Arnarnesstrytan the only similar place is found at 2500 meters. Hofsós Camping Ground
The campsite at Hofsós is a sheltered campsite with electricity, toilet facilities, cold and hot water, and a place to empty toilets.   While in Hofsós, enjoy a stroll around the lower part of town near the harbour, or view the amazing basalt formations at Staðarbjargavík. The highly awarded swimming pool in Hofsós is a walking distance from the campsite.  In Hofsós you will also find the The Emigration Center, and few minutes from Hofsós you can step into the past and visit the old times at The Vintage Auto Museum. The campsites in Hofsós, Sauðárkrókur, Varmahlíð and Hólar are in collaboration. It is possible to stay the first night at one of these camp sites and pay less during the next night at the other camp sites. It is necessary to provide a receipt from the first camp site. The campsite is open during the summer months from mid-May until mid-September.

Reykir Reykjastrond Guesthouse
Reykir is at the end of the road 748, Reykjastrandavegur in Skagafjörður. We have two natural hot pots, small café, guesthouse and camping. The area is very beautiful with  steep mountains and Drangey island rising up from the strong Atlantic ocean. You can enjoy the view from your walk around the area, or just from the hot pots. 
Guesthouse Gullsól
Our guesthouse stands in the heart of Grimsey island. We are located just above the harbor with amazing views thereover. Our house is 3 stories high and the top two stories host the guesthouse while the bottom floor hosts our small handicraft store and café.   The guesthouse offers 6 rooms: 3 single bedrooms Two rooms with 120cm beds (For 1-2 people) One room with two single sized beds.   We also offer a toddler travel bed available for our guests free of charge.   Our bathroom is on the top floor and is shared by all guests. Free WIFI is included for all guests. We exclusively offer made up beds with high-quality sheets and two pillows for each guest. Each guest also gets a big towel and a washcloth to use during their stay. More offered for longer stays if requested.   We have a fully prepared kitchen which can be shared and used by all of our guests. The kitchen includes a fridge, stovetop, oven, microwave, coffee maker, sandwich maker, toaster, tea kettle and more appliances. Our kitchen table seats 8 people and furthermore next to the kitchen is the living room with a couch and two lounge chairs as well as a tv and a little bookcase.   On the first floor of the house through a separate entrance, we have a split space with both a little coffee house offering waffles with whipped cream, chocolate, and home-made jam as well as tea, coffee, and hot cocoa. The other side has a little handicraft store with Grímsey island made handcrafted things like wool sweaters, gloves, and hats.
