Hotel Kjarnalundur is a 66 room hotel, only 3,5 km from downtown Akureyri. The hotel offers a pleasant and relaxing environment with a unique setting in terms of outdoor enjoyment, health and well-being. The surrounding environment allows our guests the possibility to be refreshed by the Icelandic nature as the hotel is located on the edge of Kjarnaskógur, which is one of the most popular outdoor areas in Akureyri. Hotel Mikligarður is a summertime property set within a student accommodation building in Saudárkrókur. Möðrudalur has served as a presbytery for centuries. The builder of the church in Möðrudalur was Jón A. Stefánsson (1880 - 1971). He was a great farmer as well as an artist and the altarpiece is made by himself. His son was Stefán ,,Stórval" Jónsson (1908 - 1994), a one of a kind character and a painter. The panorama view from the farm is interesting in many ways - judge for yourself. The dinner menu will vary daily according to Maja’s inspiration: Lamb from our farm or local fish, we try to work as much as possible with local products so you get to try new flavors! If you are interested in having dinner, please make a reservation at least one day ahead: we have few spots in the restaurant, and we need to know a little bit ahead of schedule how many people we will get so we can organize ourselves the best way. 

Hótel Norðurljós (Hotel Northern Lights) is a family runnedhotel and has been a part of the history of Raufarhöfn for thelast 40 years.  It was originally built as accommodation forworkers employed in the fish processing industry and at timeswas the home for up to 200 "herring-girls" who came in thesummer months to salt herring at the "Odin's Station".  Towardsthe end of the "herring adventure" at the end of the 1960'sthis place was converted into a hotel.  To begin with the hotelwas run as a summer hotel but during the last five years it hasstayed open throughout the year.  The bulding has beenextensively renovated. There is a lounge in thehotel for the use of guests as well as a study with books inEnglish, dealing with all aspects of Icelandic nature.  Therestaurant serves a variety of local and international dishes.The bar provides excellent views across the harbour. The hotel is located near the centre of the quayside with aview across the harbour where it is possible to observe thefishermen in the afternoon when they land their catch fromtheir small fishing boats.  Bigger fishing boats may also beseen coming and going.  To the west of the hotel is an openspace where the arctic tern nests as well as the golden ploverand several other species of birds.  A lot of birds can also beobserved in the harbour area and further away is the Höfðinn, anesting place for many species.  20 species of birds have beenspotted from the windows of the hotel. https://www.facebook.com/Hotelnor/
