Welcome to Vogafjós Farm Resort The resort is located on the east coast of lake Mývatn. It consists of a cosy family-owned guesthouse, a restaurant next to a cowshed and a small boutique with unique local products. The guesthouse is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by lava rocks and birch trees. It is the perfect location for northern lights scouting. In good conditions the lights can be seen easily from outside the rooms. All our rooms have a private bathroom and a wireless internet connection. The reception is located on the other side of the road, inside Vogafjós Restaurant.   Restaurant Vogafjós Restaurant is located beside our cowshed. We offer homemade local food such as smoked trout, lamb shanks, beef burgers, mozzarella and salad cheese made from our own milk and our homemade Geysir rye bread which is baked in our underground bakery.  Dæli Guesthouse (Holiday farm since 1988) offers a variety of accommodation and activities for both groups and the individual traveller, 16 twin/double rooms with private facilities, Cottage "Eyrin",  sleeping accommodation for up to 24 person in 6 small huts and camping ground.  In The Service House you will find a kitchen, a large dining room and WC/showers. Brúnastaðir – A Charming Farm in Fljót, SkagafjörðurBrúnastaðir is a family-run farm offering a unique countryside experience in the scenic region of Fljót, Skagafjörður. The farm features a petting zoo, a cozy farm store, and welcoming accommodations. Petting Zoo & Country StoreAt the Brúnastaðir petting zoo, guests can meet all the classic Icelandic farm animals. Among the animals are goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, lambs, calves, and horses.The farm store sells homemade goat cheese and a variety of other farm products. Visitors can also enjoy soft-serve ice cream, popsicles, coffee, pastries, and cold drinks. AccommodationA modern and beautifully designed summerhouse is located just a short distance from Lake Miklavatn. The house is 60 m² with a spacious sleeping loft spanning the entire upper floor.The main floor features a large entrance area, a fully equipped kitchen with a ceramic stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a large fridge. The open-plan living and dining area includes a TV and free Wi-Fi.There are two double bedrooms with wardrobes on the ground floor, along with two spacious bathrooms with showers.Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with four beds and an open sleeping loft with three additional beds. The master bedroom has a balcony offering stunning views over the surrounding countryside. In total, the house accommodates up to 11 guests, plus a crib for a child.Outside, there is a large deck, partially covered, with a ramp for easy wheelchair access. Guests can enjoy a spacious hot tub and a high-quality gas grill. The view from the house is breathtaking, with its close proximity to Lake Miklavatn. Fishing permits for the lake can be purchased directly from the hosts.
