Hotel Laxá is a new luxurious hotel that was opened in summer 2014. It features beautifully decorated rooms and excellent facilities in a prime location by Lake Mývatn. Baccalá bar is a restaurant in Hauganes on the west bank of Eyjafjordur bay, only 25 km from Akureyri and 12 km from Dalvík. Inside the beautifully decorated Restaurant and on the porch, shaped like a Viking ship which has the most magnificent view of the Eyjafjordur bay, you’ll find a selection of great icelandic dishes for the whole family. A restaurant that has become very popular among locals and travelers alike! Baccalá bar is run by Ektafiskur, a bacalao producer since 1940. Ektafiskur is a pioneer in producing ready made dehydrated bacalao for icelandic kitchens and is widely available in restaurants in southern Europe as well. The restaurant serves fresh fish from the bay as well as their own produce; the renowned Ektafiskur bacalao salted codfish. One of the most popular dishes is the "Captains favourite" and "Bacalao fish and fries". On the menu you’ll also find burgers and pizza and a great selection of cocktails.

The hotel is located on the north coast of Iceland, in the small sea-side town Siglufjörður.All rooms come with new quality beds made up with good linen, soft towels, warm blankets and blackout curtains.Rooms decorated with different types of vintage furniture and contemporary Icelandic art on the walls.

Gamli Baukur restaurant is located at the harbour in Húsavík. It offers you a superb harbour scenery and fresh local seafood and other local and international dishes as well. Everyone should find something to suit their taste at Gamli Baukur restaurant.  

You lie in a bathtub for 25 mintues, filled with beer, water, hops and yeast. After that you go into a relaxation room for another 25 minutes. Beer yeast is used in various ways, the most common, is a tablet form where the effects of the yeast are very benefitting.  Beer bath, where you bathe in both young beer and live beer yeast, without showering it off until some hours later, has an extremely powerful effect on the body and skin. This treatment is both cleansing for the skin and has a very positive effect on health. The are seven tubs and we can accommodate up to 14 people every hour, as people can choose between going in the tub with another person or alone. There is no age limit for the bath itself, as the bathwater does not include alcahol. The draughts, that are on the side of eact tub, are only for those who have reached the age of 20 years. Children younger than 16 years have to be accompanied by an adult.  

The house on Aðalgata 19 consists of 3 separate building structures, the first and northernmost was built in 1897, and is now the guesthouse section of Grand-Inn Bar and Bed. In 1923 KM Lindgreen, a chemist, added an addition to the southern end of the building and created the second door which was to his Chemist/Apotek, which is where the upper area of the bar is today. Ole Bang purchased the Chemists and middle apartment in 1931 and then the northernmost part in 1942 thereby taking ownership of the whole property. In 1956 he built the southernmost end which is now home to the main bar area of Grand-Inn Bar and Bed. Ole and Minna lived in the house during our childhood here in Sauðárkrókur. Minna often invited friends in for a glass of sherry and a chat - we hope that our guests will feel as welcome as Minna’s and will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy a good time with friends.

We are a small family owned craft brewery located in fishing village of Siglufjörður, Iceland, my grandfather, my father and I, as well as the family helps out. The brewhouse is in an old fish factory that we have designed and adapted. Segull means magnet in Icelandic and we are connecting it to the magnet needle (magnetic noth) in the compass. The magnetic needle always turns north no matter where you are. 67 has long been a lucky numer in the family, my great grandfather drove his truck with the number F67 and my grandfather sailed the seas with the boat number SI67. We do brewery tours with craft beer tasting. 

Götubarinn is an iconic musical bar located in the heart of Akureyri. Our wide variety of well known liquor along with an unique atmosphere is what has been bringing people together at the bar since 2009.  Opening hours: Thursday 19-01 Friday 19-03 Saturday 19-03:30

Bakkaflöt is a family-owned company that started in 1987. We offer a variety of accommodations. We have a 22 room guesthouse that offers cozy cabin with en suite bathrooms, double or triple rooms with shared bathrooms. We also have two bigger cottages with cooking facilities.  We have a small heated swimming pool outside and two hot tubs. Great experience for the whole family.  East glacial river, class 4. Extreme rafting:  East glacial river is by far one of the best 1-day rafting rivers in Europe. Enjoy a delicious traditional Icelandic meat soup after the tour. The Extrem rafting is a total bliss and we can guarantee you will get wet.  Sit on top kayak trip down the river Svartá is an enjoyable and scenic nature ride in the midnight sun.  On site: accommodation in cabins and our guesthouse, camping site, small swimming pool, hot tubs, restaurant and bar.   

Akureyri Backpackers is a hostel, located on the main shopping street of Akureyri. We offer budget accommodation for travelers from all over the world. Our dorms are 4, 6 and 8 bedded and our private rooms host 2-3 persons. You can choose between bringing your own sleeping bag or renting a duvet wrapped in a cozy cover. All our beds come with a clean sheet and a pillow. Toilets are located on every floor and warm showers are accessible 24 hours a day. Well equiped kitchen is available for our guests.
