Exhibition about Þórdís the seer, which will be opened in Dóra's Art Gallery, Vatnsdalshólar in Húnabyggð, on Saturday, July 5th, at 1:00 p.m. The exhibition will run until September 20th, and will be open every day except Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On the opening day, July 5th, there will be entertainment and refreshments available. Dóra will open the exhibition with a few words. Poet Hilma will recite a poem. Writer Birgitta H. Halldórsdóttir will read a poem she wrote about Þórdís the seer. Jóhanna Kristín Atladóttir will offer guests runic fortune telling and fairy cards for a modest fee, from 14.00 to closing at 18.00. The Svínavatnshreppur Women's Association sells cocoa and waffles from 13.00 to 18.00.
At 18.00, Dóra and Bryndís Fjóla, a medium and healer from Huldustígur, will lead an elf and history walk through Vatnsdalshólar. During the walk, Dóra will tell about the history of the farm and Bryndís Fjóla will lead participants into the world of elves, hidden people and dwarves who live in these areas. The walk takes about two hours and is a fairly easy walk on paths and grass.
