We are excited to announce the second edition of the Siglufjörður Comics Festival! After last year’s heart-warming success, we return with another fun programme of events and an exciting roster of artists and guests.
Set in the heart of the historic fishing town of Siglufjörður, it was here, almost 100 years ago, in the 1930s, that the pioneering publishing house Siglufjarðarprentsmiðja made history as the first printing house to publish comics in Icelandic. It is only fitting then, that the Siglufjörður Comics Festival pay tribute to Icelandic comics in their original birthplace.
With a diverse schedule featuring local and international artists and guests, and hosted across multiple locations, you can explore the world of comics while also exploring our beautiful town!
This year the programme includes: an Artists’ Alley with artist exhibition tables, workshops for adults and children, exhibitions, a Bingo & Draw evening, live music, and more.
