World-class heli-skiing in North Iceland

According to Forbes, Iceland is one of the most exciting places in the world to go heli-skiing. In a recent article posted on their website, travel specialist Cookson Adventures suggests that your next skiing trip should be to areas that offer heli-skiing expeditions.

Their list includes places all over the world, mentioning Iceland as a place "where volcanoes and glaciers look down on cragged coasts and crashing waterfalls. Here you can ski a huge variety of terrain, from open bowls and steep couloirs to long runs from mountain peaks."

North Iceland offers some of the best terrains in Iceland for heli-skiing and back-country. Companies offer heli-skiing on the Troll peninsula, as well as ski touring trips.
