The walk begins at the parking area beside the Fisheries Heritage Museum, beautifully situated on the shoreline. Follow Ægissíða north before turning inland onto Sunnuhvoll, which leads up to the summer cottage area overlooking the village. Continue along Sunnuhlíð and loop back down to Hafnarvegur.
From there, follow Hafnarvegur south past the campsite and sports centre, then cross the main road and continue to Grenivík football field. An old walking path leads from the field back down to the coast and returns you to the starting point.
This easy walk combines coastal scenery, village views, and local history. Be sure to spend some time around the Fisheries Heritage Museum, where attractive waterfront facilities and excellent views across Eyjafjörður invite a leisurely stop. For an extra short stroll, walk out along the Old Pier to see the environmental artwork Sókn.
