The walk starts at the swimming pool parking area. From here, follow the road north toward Stóru-Laugar. The route runs alongside the river and offers lovely views across the lush Reykjadalur Valley. At Stóru-Laugar, take a short loop around the historic building complex before returning to the road and heading back toward the school area. Just before reaching the neighborhood, turn left uphill and continue through the residential area to the pond. Follow the path around the south side of the pond, then turn left onto a trail that loops around a small grove of trees. Continue downhill along the road, pass the sports hall on your right, and follow the path beside the pond back to the starting point. This easy and pleasant walk combines local history, attractive scenery, and views of the impressive Laugar Secondary School buildings, while showcasing the fertile farmland and greenery that make Reykjadalur Valley so distinctive.
