Naustaborgir offers beautiful natural surroundings, diverse hiking trails, cultural heritage sites, and a birdwatching hide. Naustaborgir is a recreational area southwest of the town, connected to the Kjarnaskógur woodland area and the golf course. It also connects to Súluvegur via a path that leads up to Eyrarlandsháls hill.

Naustaborgir offers beautiful natural surroundings, diverse hiking trails, cultural heritage sites, and a birdwatching hide.

Naustaborgir is a recreational area southwest of the town, connected to the Kjarnaskógur woodland area and the golf course. In summer, the area is ideal for birdwatching, including from the birdwatching hide located there. You can choose different paths within the Naustahverfi neighborhood and continue from there up to Eyrarlandsháls along sheep trails and tracks through wooded areas. Once you reach the top of the ridge, the parking area for Fálkafell is to the left, and Súluvegur is just below.
