Historical Trail Akureyri Hiking trail
The walk begins in the town center and continues into Innbærinn (the Old Town) in Akureyri. Along the way, you pass historic houses and important historical landmarks. From Innbærinn, the route follows Nonni’s trail and then continues along Spítalavegur up to the Botanical Garden (Lystigarðurinn). From there, the walk heads down Eyrarlandsvegur, passing St. Peter’s Church and Akureyri Church, before returning to the starting point.
