Vökuland Wellness Guesthouse is located in the heart of the Eyjafjörður fjord, just 12 km from Akureyri, surrounded by the beauty of the Nordic mountains.
The place is open all year round and the location is good for those who want in winter period to take advantage of the ski area in Hlíðarfjall. It is close enough to enjoy Akureyri town and far enough away to enjoy some natural tranquility.
We offer accommodation in a warm and well-equipped apartment with two 4-person rooms and one bathroom, with shower. The apartment has a good kitchen, a spacious hall and a small lounge. A hot tub is for guests use.
From the hot tub there is a beautiful view over the whole fjord and to Akureyri. In winter, the northern lights can often be seen dancing in the sky and it is wonderful to watch them from the hot tub.
A variety of enjoyment can be found in Eyjafjarðarsveit as museums, swimming pool, golf course, café, Farm visit, Spa lagoon, churches and craft galleries. Beautiful hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity and horse rental.
There is a beautiful Mongolian Yurt in the backyard that is hosting a relaxed events and private sessions as Sound Bath, Yoga Nidra and Bowen therapy. This peace of mind relaxation and embracing yurt, is great for all beginners or experienced in meditation, especially anyone having trouble with slep, aniexiety or stress.
