Engimýri Lodge & Restaurant is a welcoming country hotel in the heart of Öxnadalur valley, at the foot of the Tröllaskagi peninsula and right on the ring road, just 34 km from Akureyri. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and wide-open valley views, it is a peaceful base for ring road travellers, and on clear nights the northern lights often put on a show above the lodge in the autumn.
Our restaurant serves homemade Icelandic comfort food, from traditional lamb soup and fish soup to fish & chips, arctic char, burgers and vegetarian options, with freshly baked bread and sweet desserts. Guests staying with us start the day with a generous breakfast buffet, and travelers passing by are always welcome to stop for a coffee or dinner.
We offer 16 comfortable rooms, standard with a shared bathrooms and superior with private bathrooms and mountain views. Free Wi-Fi, free parking and outdoor hot tub with a view are included for hotel guests. We also have campervan spots with power and water; use of the hot tub and showers is available for an additional fee. We are open from the beginning of June to mid-October.
