Raufarhöfn Campsite
Raufarhöfn Campsite is located in a peaceful setting beside a small pond, within walking distance of all services in the village. The campsite is suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes, making it a convenient base for exploring the Melrakkaslétta peninsula and the surrounding area.
Facilities include toilets, washing-up facilities, picnic tables and electrical hookups for caravans and motorhomes. An additional camping area is available on the nearby sports field, which is suitable for larger vehicles but does not offer toilets or electricity.
Next to the campsite, the local sports centre features an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, steam bath and fitness facilities. Washing machines and dryers are also available for a small fee.
All essential services are within walking distance, including a grocery store, fuel station, healthcare services, pharmacy, post office, accommodation, cafés and restaurants.
Raufarhöfn is Iceland's northernmost village, located close to the Arctic Circle. Just outside the village you'll find the Arctic Henge, a unique o utdoor monument inspired by Icelandic heritage, astronomy and Norse culture.
