Vatnaveröld Boat museum

The museum's goal is to preserve and share knowledge about past working methods at sea and on land, to conserve and display objects, images, and documents related to small boat construction, seafaring, and maritime resources in Skagafjörður and surrounding areas. The purpose is twofold: to save cultural treasures and to give visitors insight into how significant a role maritime resources played in ensuring people's livelihoods in the past and beyond.
