This year, Akureyri celebrates its 164th anniversary. Akureyrarvaka is an annual town festival featuring a diverse programme of events and experiences, bringing visitors and locals together to celebrate and enjoy everything the town has to offer.
The festival reaches its highlight on Saturday evening, with a wide variety of cultural events taking place throughout Akureyri.
