Akureyri Arts Festival (Listasumar) 2026

Listasumar 2026 takes place from June 25 to July 18, bringing a vibrant programme of arts and cultural events to venues across Akureyri for visitors of all ages.

The festival kicks off on Thursday, June 25, with one of its biggest highlights taking place on opening day. The Akureyri Art Society (Gilfélagið) will transform the town's pedestrian street into one giant open-air dance floor, inviting everyone to join the celebration.

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of events, including creative workshops, a colourful magic show, live music, stand-up comedy, art exhibitions, and much more.

Events take place throughout the town, offering something for every interest and age group. Whether you're a local resident or visiting Akureyri, Listasumar is a wonderful opportunity to experience the city's vibrant cultural scene.
