Sveitavegir Music Festival 2026

Sveitavegir is a one-day music festival taking place at Höfðaborg Community Hall in Hofsós on July 25, 2026.

The festival brings together musicians from Skagafjörður and across Iceland to celebrate country music inspired by traditions from across the Atlantic. The programme also features Icelandic folk-pop and homegrown country music, creating a unique blend of local and international influences.

Höfðaborg Community Hall provides an intimate setting for live performances, while Hofsós and the Skagafjörður region offer the perfect backdrop for the festival. Music, storytelling, and singing have long been woven into the area's rural heritage, making it a fitting place to celebrate this musical tradition. As the festival's name suggests, all country roads lead to Hofsós.
