Blúndur og blóm – Christmas Craft Market at Sigluvík

Join us for a special weekend of crafts, creativity and festive cheer at Sigluvík in Svalbarðsströnd!

This year marks the 14th anniversary of Blúndur og blóm, celebrated with the launch of a new collection of calendars, cards and other beautiful creations featuring atmospheric photography and inspiring words.

To celebrate, visitors are invited to a unique craft market at Sigluvík, where a wonderful selection of local artists, designers and craftspeople will showcase their work. This year, exhibitors will be spread across the entire upper floor of the house, as well as the outbuilding just north of the house.

  • KRÓ Design – Kjartan Reynir Ólafsson

  • LINDA ÓLA art – Linda Björk Óladóttir

  • Rósalína – Sólveig Guðmundsdóttir

  • Selbu Mittens for Peace – Kristín Sæm.

  • Vonarbrú – Second-hand jewellery, vintage Christmas decorations, handmade items, books and ornaments. All proceeds support families with children in need in Gaza.

  • Sælkerahornið – Kjartan Valur Birgisson, fundraising stall

The Sigluvík flea market, located in the outbuilding by the road, will also be open throughout the weekend.

Opening hours:

  • Friday, November 6: 7:30–10:00 PM

  • Saturday, November 7: 1:00–5:00 PM

  • Sunday, November 8: 1:00–5:00 PM

Known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, this annual event is a lovely opportunity to discover unique handmade products, find special Christmas gifts and enjoy a little festive inspiration.

Visitors can also enjoy delicious treats from Kjartan Valur's food stall, along with freshly brewed coffee and gingerbread cookies.

Everyone is warmly welcome!

Practical information:

Ample parking is available, including on the surrounding fields if needed. Please take care near the stream running alongside and beneath the driveway.

It will be quite dark outside on Friday evening despite the outdoor lighting, so visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight or use the light on their phones.
